He is a founding partner of UMJ Ikeya Investment Ltd, a Myanmar focused growth stage VC fund.  Through his investments, he holds board positions for some of Myanmar’s most successful enterprises, including Bagan Innovation Technology, CarsDB, GLAMMK and Century Finance.

In addition, he is a founding partner of Emerging Markets Entrepreneurs – Myanmar, an investment fund focused on seed and early stage startups in Myanmar.   He is the investment director, leading the investment team in the deal execution process.

Hitoshi also serves as an advisor for several Japanese companies operating in South East Asia.

Prior to the investment management and advisory business, he worked in the investment banking industry for over 10 years. (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and HSBC Securities)

He holds a B.A. from Cornell University.
