IDS Equity Holdings, Raysum Co., Ltd and Argo Holdings Co., Ltd ink $500-million MoU for real estate investment through direct and NPL investments with Hanoi City

TOKYO, JAPAN – IDS Equity Holdings recently exchanged a memorandum of understanding for investment and development of real estate projects with Hanoi People’s Committee as part of Vietnam Investment Promotion Conference 2019 in Tokyo, Japan.

The $500-million memorandum was co-signed by IDS Equity Holdings, Raysum Co., Ltd and Argo Holdings Co., Ltd to establish a joint cooperative partnership for investment and development of office and hotel projects via direct and non-performing loan investment with Hanoi People’s Committee.

Also at the  working session, representatives of IDS Equity Holdings, Raysum Co., Ltd and Argo Holdings Co., Ltd and H.E Nguyen Duc Chung – Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee discussed about cooperation opportunities between Hanoi and Japanese investors.

Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung introduced about investment environment and preferential policies for investors of Hanoi. Notably, he reiterated that in 2015, Japan ranked 4th in the foreign investor to Hanoi but became the leading foreign investor to the city in 2018.

Nobuyuki Matsukura – Board Member of IDS Equity Holdings spoke highly of the memorandum signed as well as the working session with the Hanoi’s administration. He also affirmed the company’s commitment to accelerate its investment and business operations in Hanoi in the coming years.

The MoU was officially exchanged in the witness of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Nguyen Chi Dung – Minister of Planning and Investment and Madam Satsuki Katayama – Japan’s Minister of State for Regional Revitalization and Nobuhiko Sasaki – Chairman of JETRO on July 1, 2019.
